Description
A house renovation for Nao Tamura, focusing on material ageing, spatial openness, and a connection between interior and nature.

The concept is inspired by the Japanese idea of material ageing, where time and imperfection are valued as part of architectural expression. Like materials that weather naturally, the space evolves through use, light, and daily life.

The moodboard explores material aging, tactility, and quiet spatial composition, focusing on atmosphere and the passage of time.

The open floor plan gently guides movement through
the store, creating a calm and organised flow.

Existing steel beams are preserved and left exposed, embracing material aging, while light and spatial openness define the interior atmosphere.
